Services: The exercise shall consist two events a year during April and September for calendar years 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027. The vendor shall supply testing materials and documentation for submitting results and shall evaluate the results and issue reports on the participation to Bureau of Laboratories. The Bureau of Laboratories shall use the results to plan training needs for Commonwealth laboratories to improve their preparedness.

Description:
|
The Bureau of Laboratories shall enroll approximately 60 laboratories in the College of American Pathologists Laboratory Preparedness Exercise. This exercise is an education challenge, designed to provide experience with surrogate agents of bioterrorism and other agents that may create a public health emergency. Organisms included in this exercise are chosen to meet the needs of a broad range of laboratory types, from small community hospital laboratories to large commercial laboratories.
