Description: This Project includes: PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS.  PROJECT TITLE:  Erie Maritime Museum – Building & Infrastructure Improvements BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The scope of work includes but is not limited to replacing twenty-three (23) existing water-to-air terminal heat pumps & associated infrastructure components to ensure the reliability of the system for the foreseeable future. The equipment to be replaced serves approximately 110,000 square feet of floor space within the facility. The existing heat pumps serving the museum are at the end of their expected service life & are failing. The commitment to continuous maintenance of the heat pump units is exceeding their value.
ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $1,600,000.00

The Department of General Services Capital Programs & the Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities identified this procurement as eligible for the setting of Small Diverse Business (SDB) and/or Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals. Applicants must agree to meet SDB & VBE Participation Goals in full or demonstrate that they have made Good Faith Efforts to meet Goals. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF SHORT-LISTED FIRMS:  Interviews will be conducted with all short-listed firms, who will be notified of the interview details.  A “Detailed Proposal” will be requested from short-listed firms.  Provide detailed resumes for key design & management personnel with references; the firm’s approach to the project, including descriptions of tasks & scope of services, & an explanation of how the approach provides value to the Commonwealth; a detailed description from the firm’s portfolio of a project that illustrates the firm’s ability to translate design intentions into a solution that meets the client’s needs & expectations; an organizational chart & detailed work plan, identifying key personnel roles & percent of time assigned to the project; an explanation of how the firm assures high quality bidding documents; examples of relevant projects completed by the lead design professional & key personnel, with contact information for references for these projects; an assessment of key project issues & risks to the project; identification of special investigations, studies or testing that may be required; a description of how diversity will be accomplished within the team; evidence of financial capability; a list of professional liability claims and/or legal actions within the last ten years & a non-binding fee proposal.
