The Pennsylvania Department of General Services (DGS) invites interested suppliers to participate in an open forum discussion relative to Request for Information (RFI) # 6100059924SF.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health must ensure that the cultivation, growing, processing, production, distribution, dispensing and sale of Medical Marijuana in the Commonwealth complies with the requirements of PA Act 16 of 2016, PA Act 44 of 2021and supporting regulations. This Project supports several related, time-sensitive system components required to implement Pennsylvania’s Medical Marijuana program:
1. The implementation of a hosted, Software as a Service (SaaS) medical marijuana Seed to Sale tracking system, which will be used to monitor, control and report on activities of authorized growers/processors, dispensaries, laboratories, clinical registrants, and academic clinical research centers.
2. The implementation of a hosted, SaaS registry that will integrate with the Seed to Sale system to register, administer and track the activity of patients, caregivers, practitioners and medical professionals and research professionals.
3. The implementation of a hosted, SaaS web interface that integrates with the registry to provide robust self-service features for patients, caregivers, practitioners and medical professionals.
Topics for discussion include industry standards, supplier community insight and expertise, best practices and current and future technology enhancements. The event will be held at via Microsoft Teams, on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 10:00am – 12:00pm ET.
The first hour of the supplier forum 10:00am – 11:00am is reserved for Offerors interested in becoming potential prime contractors for this RFP. The second hour of the supplier forum 11:00am – 12:00pm will be tailored for both potential prime and Small and Small Diverse Business subcontractors. The second hour will include a presentation on the Commonwealth’s Small and Small Diverse Business program, discussion relative to potential subcontracting opportunities for services and supplies and networking time for prospective prime and Small and Small Diverse Business subcontractors.
