The Department of Labor and Industry (DLI), on behalf of the Unemployment Compensation Service Center (UCSC) Altoona is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) to procure Snow Removal Services including labor, equipment, and application of non-corrosive, eco-friendly, blended ice melt anti-skid materials to parking areas, sidewalks, and pedestrian areas on the premises occupied by the UCSC Altoona located at 1101 Green Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601.
Work must be performed in accordance with the specifications provided and the Altoona City Ordinance No. 5343, Article IV, Section 633-19: City of Altoona, PA Snow and Ice Removal (ecode360.com).
This solicitation is reserved for Department of General Services (DGS) self-certified small businesses. Only DGS self-certified small businesses are eligible to submit a bid.
CONTRACT PERIOD. The initial term of the Contract, 24 months, is anticipated to begin January 1, 2024, and expire December 31, 2025. The Contract may be renewed for three (3), one (1) year periods, at the discretion of the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth reserves the right, upon notice to the Contractor, to extend any single term of the Contract for up to three (3) months upon the same terms and conditions.
Site visits are optional. Bidders may schedule a site visit by calling or emailing Vivian Davis, Administrative Assistant, at (814) 505-1082, vdavis@pa.gov. Site visits will only be conducted prior to bid closing date at the discretion of the Altoona UCSC.
