INVITATION TO BID – SHIPPENSBURG UNIVERSITY
SU-2017/12: Henderson Gymnasium Window Replacement
Shippensburg University of the PA State System of Higher Education invites General Contractors to download bid documents for this project. Work included under this project consists of removal of existing steel windows and replacement with aluminum clad wood window units. Other carpentry work includes, modification to / raising portions of existing ceilings and soffits, extension of associated fasciae. Other work includes, electrical contractor to wire and tie-in new automated window operators into existing electrical circuit. Work to be performed by University forces includes relocating existing dryer vents, currently running through existing windows. Contractor shall remove Owner’s unit window air conditioners during the window replacement and re-install units back into respective openings. Contractor shall provide / fabricate new insulated metal clad “curtain” pieces to enclose the area between the unit air conditioners and window frame. See Architectural drawings for this detail and material.
Work shall be accomplished by a single prime contractor, and shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, materials, tools and equipment and performing all work necessary to complete all construction identified on the Contract Documents to the satisfaction of, and subject to approval of the Professional and the Shippensburg University.
A Pre-bid conference, with site visit to follow, will be held on November 9, 2017 at 10:00 AM EST at Shippensburg University in the Reed Operations Center Conference Room located in Shippensburg, PA 17257. Pre-Bid Conference is not mandatory, but is highly recommended.
Electronic Bids are due no later than 2:00 PM EST on December 7, 2017 through PASSHE’s eProcurement Exchange located at https://passhe.procureware.com/home.
The Bid package is available at https://passhe.procureware.com/home. In order to submit a proposal, interested bidders need to register at PASSHE’s eProcurement Exchange located at https://passhe.procureware.com/home.
