SERS’ objective is to successfully appoint a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to the State Employees’ Retirement System in collaboration with SERS’ Board and Executive Director. The CIO is responsible to manage the multi-billion dollar externally managed SERS Fund which has a complex asset class portfolio; and to manage and supervise approximately 16 investment professional staff. The CIO reports to SERS’ Board for all investment issues, and administratively to SERS’ Executive Director.
