PROJECT TITLE: 14' fencing shall be provided to replace the existing Taut Wire Intrusion Detection System (TWIDS). Contractor shall provide fencing and all required components as shown on the Contract Documents. Contractor shall coordinate all work with existing site conditions to include but not be limited to existing fencing, buildings, ratwall, and sidewalk.
ESTIMATED RANGE: .4 Electrical - $1,000,000 - $2,000,000
Liquidated Damages = (.4) $500.00 per day.

A PRE-BID CONFERENCE has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, 2020 @ 10:00AM at the SCI Laurel Highlands, 5706 Glades Pike, Somerset, PA 15501.
Pre-Bid clearances must be requested ASAP and at least 72 hours prior to pre-bid meeting. Provide the names of the personnel going to the Pre-Bid Meeting listed in the Project Advertisement to David Ponczek (dponczek@pa.gov). A delay in getting your information to DOC, the attendee may not be permitted in the Pre-Bid Meeting.
All potential bidders are invited and urged to attend this Pre-Bid Conference.
There is no Bid Guaranty required for this Project.
The Department of General Services Public Works and the Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities (BDISBO) identified this procurement as eligible for the setting of Small Diverse Business (SDB) and/or Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals. However, BDISBO did not set SDB and/or VBE participation goals for those procurements that are less than the $400,000 threshold required to set either goal. In addition, there will be no points allocated toward SDB/SB participation for this procurement.
This is a significant programmatic change from the SDB and SB Participation program contained in prior Projects issued by Public Works. Bidders now must agree to meet the SDB and VBE Participation Goals in full or demonstrate that they have made Good Faith Efforts to meet the Goals. Refer to the Instructions to Bidders section regarding Small Diverse Business and Veteran Business Enterprise Participation for further information.
