This Project includes: PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS. PROJECT TITLE: Upgrade HVAC Systems and Other Energy Saving Improvements, PA Military Museum BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, a wide variety of improvements and upgrades of site features and buildings at this nationally important historic site. Numerous infrastructure upgrades and energy conservation improvement will be included. At the Museum and exhibit building, both temperature and humidity are controlled to protect significant artifacts. Building work at the museum will include improved humidity control building-wide, vapor barrier repairs and improvements of the exterior envelope, exterior repointing and repairing at brick and mortar deterioration, replacement of non-thermally broken windows, and replacement of exterior utility doors. Currently, open loop geothermal wells are in place for the Vehicle Storage Building. New geothermal equipment for heating and cooling systems will be installed for the Museum building and possibly the Maintenance Building. Electrical work at the buildings across the site includes installing new energy-efficient lighting both on the interior (including in the museum gallery) and at the exterior. Site infrastructure upgrades include new energy-efficient exterior and parking lot and associated sidewalk and paving repairs. ESTIMATED CONCSTRUCTION COST: $2,000,000.00.

Professional Selections
The PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS MEETING is scheduled for THURSDAY, MAY 18, 2017 AT 10:00 AM.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF SHORT-LISTED FIRMS: Interviews will be conducted with all short-listed firms. The short-listed professionals will be notified as to the date, time and location of the interviews. A “Detailed Proposal” will be requested from short-listed firms for this project. The following information will need to be provided: detailed resumes for key design and management personnel with references; the firm’s approach to the project, including descriptions of tasks and scope of services, and an explanation of how the approach provides value to the Commonwealth; a detailed description from the firm’s portfolio of a project that illustrates the firm’s ability to translate design intentions into a solution that meets the client’s needs and expectations; an organizational chart and detailed work plan, identifying key personnel roles and percent of time assigned to the project; visual examples of relevant projects completed by the lead design professional and key personnel, with contact information for references for these projects; an assessment of key project issues and risks to the project; identification of special investigations, studies or testing that may be required; and a list of professional liability claims and/or legal actions within the last ten years and a non-binding fee proposal.
