Description: This Project includes:  PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS.  PROJECT TITLE:  Lehighton Readiness Center Rehabilitation  BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, Readiness Center (RC) and Annex renovations.  RC work includes providing an accessible entrance, interior and exterior doors and window replacement, toilet room expansion and upgrades to meet ADA/ICC standards, demolition, upgrades, and expansion of the existing kitchen, and upgrades to the existing vault to meet regulations.  Site work includes replacement of front concrete sidewalk, removal and repaving of existing POV parking area.    RC mechanical upgrades include providing outside air and air conditioning to unventilated areas.  The facility requires a complete replacement of the electrical service and distribution system.  The Annex work includes door and window replacement, toilet room renovations to meet ADA/ICC requirements, and general aesthetic upgrades to finishes.  Site work includes removal and replacement of parking paving, fence and gate replacement, and miscellaneous storm water repairs.  Annex mechanical improvements include provision for conditioned air to currently unventilated areas, toilet room exhaust, and a new hot water heater.  Electrical improvements would be limited to work required by renovations, upgrades to the garage area, and exterior of the building.  Fire alarm system upgrades, as required.  ESTIMATED CONCSTRUCTION COST: $1,950,000.00.

The PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS MEETING is scheduled for THURSDAY, MAY 18, 2017 AT 10:00 AM.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF SHORT-LISTED FIRMS: A “Detailed Proposal” will be requested from short-listed firms for this project.  The following information will need to be provided: detailed resumes for key design and management personnel with references; the  firm’s approach to the project, including descriptions of tasks and scope of services, and an explanation of how the approach provides value to the Commonwealth; a detailed description from the firm’s portfolio of a project that illustrates the firm’s ability to translate design intentions into a solution that meets the client’s needs and expectations; an organizational chart and detailed work plan, identifying key personnel roles and percent of time assigned to the project; visual examples of relevant projects completed by the lead design professional and key personnel, with contact information for references for these projects; an assessment of key project issues and risks to the project; identification of special investigations, studies or testing that may be required; and a non-binding fee proposal.
