Description: This Project includes: PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS.  PROJECT TITLE:  PSU – Academic Learning Center – Harrisburg Campus BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The scope of work includes but is not limited construction of a new Academic Learning Center (ALC). The Academic Learning Center will provide a new 60,000 square feet state-of-the-art classroom and academic space for the growing campus, The University has determined through careful analysis that a centralized chilled water plant would best serve this proposed building and other campus facilities. This project will include, whether attached or detached from this new classroom building, a new centralized chilled water plant that will connect to existing chillers in the Hanes Library Building, provide cooling for the ALC, and have capacity to expand and provide chilled water to surrounding buildings in the future. It is the intent of DGS to delegate the design of this project to PSU.  The selected professional will enter in negotiations with PSU.
ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $32,100.000.00

The Department of General Services Capital Programs and the Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities identified this procurement as eligible for the setting of Small Diverse Business (SDB) and/or Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals. Applicants now must agree to meet the SDB and VBE Participation Goals in full or demonstrate that they have made Good Faith Efforts to meet the Goals. Refer to the project e-builder solicitation folder for instructions regarding Small Diverse Business and Veteran Business Enterprise participation.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF SHORT-LISTED FIRMS: Interviews will be conducted with all short-listed firms. The short-listed professionals will be notified as to the date, time and location of the interviews.  A “Detailed Proposal” will be requested from short-listed firms for this project.  The following information will need to be provided: an organizational chart and detailed work plan, identifying key personnel roles and percent of time assigned to the project; examples of relevant projects completed by the lead design professional and key personnel, with contact information for references for these projects; an assessment of key project issues and risks to the project; a description of how diversity will be accomplished within the team and a non-binding fee proposal.
