VA Memorial Cemetery Planting of Trees
Description:
The work to be performed under this contract consists of planting 36 (thirty-six) Syringa reticulate Oleaceae trees, commonly known as the Japanese Tree Lilac, in existing stone planter boxes in the interior plaza at the PA Veterans’ Memorial (hereafter the “Memorial”). The caliber of all trees must be a minimum of 2” and a maximum of 2.5” and the height must be a minimum of six feet. All trees must be single trunk. The VA National Cemetery arborist recommends trying to find the cultivars “Summer Snow”, “Ivory Silk”, or “Regent” as they have a more uniform growth habit.
