Description: This Project includes: PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS.  PROJECT TITLE:  Indiana University – Upgrade Campus Utilities Infrastructure BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, provide four (4) of IUPs main campus buildings with more efficient HVAC systems and reduced maintenance costs. Buildings are to be decoupled from the campus steam system. Additional tasks: Demolish steam absorption chillers in Uhler Hall and Eberly Hall. Install a packaged chiller unit to serve Uhler Hall and possibly Johnson Hall. Connect Eberly Hall to the campus chilled water loop. Install independent point-of-use boilers in Eberly, Zink, Uhler and Johnson Halls and upgrade gas service as needed to these buildings.
ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $5,650,000.00.

The PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS MEETING is scheduled for WEDNESDAY, June 15, 2022 AT 10:00 AM.
The Department of General Services Public Works and the Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities identified this procurement as eligible for the setting of Small Diverse Business (SDB) and/or Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals. Applicants now must agree to meet the SDB and VBE Participation Goals in full or demonstrate that they have made Good Faith Efforts to meet the Goals. Refer to the project e-builder solicitation folder for instructions regarding Small Diverse Business and Veteran Business Enterprise participation.
The Goals for SDB participation: 14%
The Goals for VBE participation: 3%
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF SHORT-LISTED FIRMS Interviews will be conducted with all short-listed firms. The short-listed professionals will be notified as to the date, time and location of the interviews.  A “Detailed Proposal” will be requested from short-listed firms for this project.  The following information will need to be provided:  detailed resumes for key design and management personnel with references; the firm’s approach to the project, including descriptions of tasks and scope of services, and an explanation of how the approach provides value to the Commonwealth; ; an organizational chart and detailed work plan, identifying key personnel roles and percent of time assigned to the project; examples of relevant projects completed by the lead design professional and key personnel, with contact information for references for these projects; an assessment of key project issues and risks to the project; identification of special investigations, studies or testing that may be required; discuss boiler and chiller system design experience of personnel that would do the actual design work; provide examples of relevant projects where the firm developed multi prime construction documents; a list of professional liability claims and/or legal actions within the last ten years and a non-binding fee proposal.
