This Project includes: PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS. PROJECT TITLE: Replace Door Control Systems at SCI Laurel Highlands, Somerset, and Frackville BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, replacing door control and monitoring systems with new PLC based systems utilizing ethernet communications. Replace copper with multi-strand fiber optic cables and associated network hardware, replace head end controllers/computers with new computers, replace or upgrade all door control systems components and associated equipment, replace uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and confirm 120 volts AC to all devices and controllers is derived from dedicated branch circuits that are supplied by on-site generated emergency power, regardless of location. Confirm power sources and accurate circuit directories, labeling of raceways and boxes, etc. Provide capability of remotely controlling doors from both the housing unit control and the central control locations. Integrate door control and monitoring systems with existing or future planned systems (fire alarm, ventilation control, camera call up, perimeter zone, etc.). for each facility.
ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $3,000,000.00.
