This Project includes: PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS. PROJECT TITLE: Torrance State Hospital – Replace/Upgrade Wastewater Treatment Plant BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The scope of work includes but is not limited to MGD Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) Waste Water Treatment plant with combination grit, grease and screening preliminary treatment, aerobic digester, offsite disposal of liquid sludge, sodium hypochlorite disinfection, dechlorination, new outfall sewer and back-up power supply for the plant. Permanent discrete flow metering will be added to the collection system. Feasibility study recommendations shall be confirmed by the professional. Verify permit requirements of the State, County and local municipality and/or other entities and obtain permits where required. ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $5,586,000.

The PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS MEETING is scheduled for WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2018 AT 10:00 AM.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF SHORT-LISTED FIRMS: Interviews will be conducted with all short-listed firms. The short-listed professionals will be notified as to the date, time and location of the interviews. A “Detailed Proposal” will be requested from short-listed firms for this project. The following information will need to be provided: detailed resumes for key design and management personnel with references; the firm’s approach to the project, including descriptions of tasks and scope of services, and an explanation of how the approach provides value to the Commonwealth; an assessment of key project issues and risks to the project; a list of professional liability claims and/or legal actions within the last ten years.
