Description: This Project includes:  PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS.  PROJECT TITLE:  Cheyney University – Deferred Maintenance Repairs BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, renovations and upgrades to the main entrance and restrooms at Dudley Hall.  Replacement of the chiller and backup generator, repairs or replacement of existing air handling units, upgrades to lighting and mechanical controls, auditorium seating refurbishment, window replacement, roof repairs and exterior waterproofing in Dudley Hall.  Remove and replace the living roof on the New Science Center.  Expand, resurface and stripe Foster parking lot. Replace the built-up roof on ADA S. George Dining Hall.
ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $2,000,000.00.

The PROFESSIONAL SELECTIONS MEETING is scheduled for WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2020 AT 10:00 AM.
The Department of General Services Public Works and the Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities (BDISBO) identified this procurement as eligible for the setting of Small Diverse Business (SDB) and/or Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) participation goals. This is a significant programmatic change from the SDB and SB Participation program contained in prior Projects issued by Public Works. Applicants now must agree to meet the SDB and VBE Participation Goals in full or demonstrate that they have made Good Faith Efforts to meet the Goals. Refer to the project e-builder solicitation folder for instructions regarding Small Diverse Business and Veteran Business Enterprise participation.
The Goals for SDB participation: 17%
The Goals for VBE participation: 3%
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF SHORT-LISTED FIRMS The following information will need to be provided:  the firm’s approach to the project, including descriptions of tasks and scope of services, and an explanation of how the approach provides value to the Commonwealth; an assessment of key project issues and risks to the project; identification of special investigations, studies or testing that may be required; a description of how diversity will be accomplished within the team; and a non-binding fee proposal.
