Description:
|
The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) is seeking a contractor to design, develop and implement a custom-built solution for the report generation application which allow the Pennsylvania Information Management System (PIMS) users to generate reports on the data they have uploaded into PIMS (Pre-K through post-secondary). Currently the reporting application spans two technologies (IBM Cognos Business Intelligence to generate verification/operational reports and data cubes; and a separate user interface, “the Sandbox”, which is a subset of validation/verification reports developed in a .NET/SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) solution, but lacks role based report filtering. PDE wants to transition from the IBM Cognos Business Intelligence platform to a .Net/SSRS PIMS Reporting Application replacement which fulfills all of the needs of the PIMS report platforms: PIMS operational report generation (Pre-K through post-secondary) and Sandbox (PIMS data validation/testing prior to sumission).
