Description:
Pennsylvania will purchase a modular Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) (known as MMIS 2020) to replace PROMISe at the conclusion of its current contract with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) in October 2017. Our new MMIS will be comprised of several modules based on DHS Medicaid Business Functions. This procurement seeks to procure four of the core MMIS business modules: Managed Care and Financial Administration; Provider Management; Third Party Liability; and Fee for Service. The Managed Care and Financial Administration module will process encounters, render capitation payments, and manage all financial functions of the MMIS; the Provider Management module will manage the provider business processes and information across the agency; the Third Party Liability module will manage all aspects of third party payee information; and the Fee for Service module will accommodate fee for service and waiver claim submission as well as integrate other programs such as the LIHEAP and MATP programs.
