Description:
It is the objective of this announcement to describe the requirements and guidelines for submission of proposals to allow PCCD to identify a single training delivery contractor for each of three geographic regions of the state, in order to implement the training mandates of Act 2009-49 for constables and deputy constables (collectively referred to as constables. Contractors must be capable of arranging for all facilities, administration and instruction for the training of constables, and utilizing locations where the training best serves the training population. The bulk of the training has to be provided during weekends, in order to accommodate constables working part-time.
The project will entail the delivery of updated/revised curricula for Constables' Basic Training, Basic Firearms Training, Annual Continuing Education, Annual and Advanced Firearms Training and Optional Training, including all instructional support materials and examinations. The project will also entail the delivery of annual, in-house instructor updates and monitoring programs, and the entry of data into and on-going maintenance of instructor and constable data bases provided by PCCD. It is the objective of PCCD to utilize a curriculum development contractor, under a separate contract, to assist in the promotion of uniform curricula utilization and training delivery among the three regional training providers.
