Description:
PennDOT seeks a vendor to provide services to design, implement, support, and maintain a statewide Fixed Route Intelligent Transportation System(FRITS). The system will be deployed to 33 of the state's 35 fixed route transit agencies. Key goals include establishing baseline FRITS capabilities; providing a seamless, integrated statewide transit system; controlling costs by simplifying procurement and leveraging economies of scale; and, providing real time bus information, flexible ticketing and payment options, and consistent reliable data.
