Description:
|
The Pennsylvania Ignition Interlock Law, Pennsylvania Vehicle Code, 75 Pa. C.S. Section 3805, requires an individual convicted of a second or subsequent DUI offense in the past ten (10) years to have an approved ignition interlock device installed on each motor vehicle they own, operate, or lease. This restriction is in place for one year before they are eligible to apply for an unrestricted driver's license.
PennDOT seeks a vendor to provide quality assurance and technical assistance for Pennsylvania's Ignition Interlock Program. Major tasks include monitoring manufacturers and service providers, developing and conducting training for law enforcement, maintaining program statistics, and providing expertise on the guidelines of the Pennsylvania Ignition Interlock Specifications.
