Description:
This project will involve a comprehensive study of individuals who currently possess valid motorcycle registration(s) and license as indicated in PennDOT's vehicle registration database. Upon identification of the individuals, the information will be cross-referenced against data associated with motorcycles accidents, accidents resulting in fatalities, use of helmets, and the receipt of training through the Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program (PAMSP). The analysis will determine whether any correlation exists between the lack of motorcycle endorsement and training with the frequency and severity of accidents and accidents with fatalities.
